| Recession was obviously bound to happen to the United States because we rely solely on non-renewable resources! Oil!Wood!Gold!Silver!Copper! And another idiotic thing we do is that when we run low on certain non-renewable resources we then use a different now-renewable resource instead! People claim this is because reverting off a resource entirely would hurt the economy, in response I say : WOULD YOU RATHER SUFFER A QUICK PAINFUL INJURY OR A SLOW, PAINFUL, DEATH! By reverting COMPLETELY to renewable resources all the economy will suffer is a quick injury; we are down but not out. The economy, With time, will rise back up again!
Now this is what will happen if we do not get off non-renewable resources now : OUR ECONOMY WILL DIE AND THERE WILL BE NO COMING BACK, OUR COUNTRY WILL PAINFULLY SINK TO A THIRD-WORLD NATION, TENS OF THOUSANDS WILL DIE OF STARVATION EVERY YEAR, WE WILL BE PLAGUED BY CIVIL WARS THAT COST MILLIONS OF INNOCENT LIVES AND THEN SPLIT-UP OUR NATION INTO SMALLER THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES, THEN IN ACTS OF DESPERATION WE ATTACK EACH OTHER UNMEASURABLE AMOUNTS OF INNOCENT CIVILIANS ARE VICTIMS OF HOMICIDAL AND GENOCIDAL ATTACKS, OUR ONCE GREAT NATION IS NOW A BARREN AND INHOSPITABLE LANDSCAPE CAUSED BY EARLIER NUCLEAR AND CHEMICAL WARFARE, ALL IS LOST.
